Hola!

I’m Mauricio founder of Agua Dulce Bartending. I started my bartending career at the age of 16 as a bar assistant in a luxury boutique hotel in Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica.

It was at that early age and at that hotel that I developed a passion for the art of mixing drinks and knew that this was the career I wanted to pursue. I was eager to learn and was fortunate to be able to train under the best bartenders in the area, to whom I am forever grateful. They mentored me and after only six months in the industry, I placed first in a local bartending competition.

With drive and curiosity, I continued to work in Manuel Antonio as a bartender at various hotels and restaurants and later moved to the United States to study in Dallas, Texas. While in Dallas, I worked for Starwood & Marriott Hotels. First as a bartender and then as a mixologist. I was then promoted to food and beverage supervisor and eventually restaurant manager.

When the opportunity to transfer back to Costa Rica with Marriott International came up, I took it and moved back. Here I continued to worked for Marriott International for over four years. With more years of experience in bartending, mixology, and restaurant management, I realized the potential to provide private services in the area and Agua Dulce Bartending was born!
